Here are Pinoy-relevant genealogy news this week:
1. With interest in family history research alive and kicking in the US and many European countries, I really want to give Pinoy genealogy a great big nudge by helping organize the Philippine Genealogical Society. Read my original post and link to it on FB if you feel like pushing this campaign up the hill much, much farther.
2. Now is the perfect time to get cracking on the family reunion this Christmas. Real Simple, a US magazine which I loove, offers some practical advice. You would have to tweak it a bit to adapt to conditions in the Philippines; but helpful all the same. Start planning that reunion!
3. In Bob Brody’s Fathers’ Day article, he surveyed fathers and grandfathers and found three of four saying they would write a family history, but had no time for it. Enough with the excuses, Lolo’s, write your family memoirs today.
